"I have my own copy of the I Ching, and I have thrown my own hexagrams in my time. Colleen Kelley guided meinto whole new depths of the experience. She is a fabulous artist, and also highly intuitive, her work based on a whole raft of traditional spiritual trainings and a long history of profound practice. She has trained and studied this system of delivering the I Ching with Stephen Karcher. Though we were sharing the same city, our consultation took place by telephone. Should youhavea big question revolving around your live just now, I know of no finer way and less intrusive way of resolving it. Colleen Kelley's professional work comes with my full hearted recommendation."

"You and your divining powers have been on my mind these past days as it is exactly one year ago today that my Dad died. I have been sitting with him these past two weeks and recalling this powerful, moving time. Your divination was a guiding light for me, reassured and empowered me, and helped immeasurably in navigating the tricky waters of family communication at such a higly charged time. Thank you, dear friend-- I will always be so grateful to you."
Deborah Boldt, Film Maker + Producer

"Yi Ching or classic of Change is the world’s oldest and most sophisticated system of wisdom divination, a powerful tool and spiritual vehicle that can help us to navigate the voyage of life. It is designed to help people understand and work with the unconscious forces shaping the situation we confront and to keep us connected with the creative process of life. It brings out the helping spirit (shen), the inner voice that helps us on our Way." Dr. Stephen Karcher, Total I Ching, Myths for Change, p.x. 2003, Time/Warner Books.

Its origins being in oral traditions of the East, it was written down and spread throughout Japan, Korea and Tibet and was eventually translated into Western languages. A landmark translation was the Wilhelm Baynes version of 1950 which was recognized as a great event by the depth psychologist C.G. Jung. It was at this time that this extraordinary wisdom from the East entered the imaginal and spiritual culture of the West.

One approaches this “portable altar” with a question. It is in this process of inquiry and submitting the question to the Yi that the “larger knowing” reveals itself in the acknowledgement of invisible forces operating along with the visible ones. Here in this intimate conversation underlying patterns are revealed and we look into the mirror of our soul through the powerful, evocative transformative symbols of the Yi.

The Yi allows and serves the multi-dimensional nature of our participation in the world and its flow of events both personal and collective. It confounds our rational mind and opens us to the great mystery of synchronicity and possibility beyond our normal ways of perceiving. It is a teacher and traveling companion. It is a wise guide and fierce in its cultivation of the humble nobility of the Sage Mind within us all – that which leads and serves and rests in virtue (de).

I would like to highlight a great gift available to you as a tool and a guide in these inspiring and sometimes intense and challenging times.  It is a recent translation by Dr. Stephen Karcher of the great work from the East called the Yi Ching or I Ching, first published in 2003 by Time Warner Books.  I have been consulting this respected oracle over the last 4 years and it has always served as an illuminating guide and ally of the highest order.  It has helped me and those I have done readings for in clear and extraordinary ways.  I recommend this version of the Yi Ching highly.   To arrange a consultation please contact Colleen Kelley at pureland46 @yahoo.comPlease visit Stephen Karcher's website for more information
